Canterra Seeds elects new chair

Jim Wilson has been named as chair of Canterra Seeds. Wilson steps in after Lloyd Affleck retired from his position as chair. Affleck will remain as a board member.

Wilson has been a board member since 2010, and has served as vice chair for the last 14 years. Jim and his wife operate a grain farm near Darlingford, Man..

Kris Mayerle has been named vice chair of the board. Mayerle has been a board member since 2011, and he and his family operate Greenleaf Seeds, a pedigreed seed farm and processing plant at Tisdale, Sask.

Canterra Seeds thanked Affleck for his many years of service as chair. Affleck first joined the board in 2005, serving as vice chair from 2009-2010 and became chair in 2010.
