Kioti enters skid steer market with SL750

Farmers in the market for a new skid steer can now take a look at Kioti after the Daedong-owned brand entered the market segment last year with its new SL750.

At the National Farm Machinery Show held at Louisville, Kentucky, Kioti product manager Jason Boerger gave RealAgriculture’s Bernard Tobin a tour of the 74-hp machine which is designed, engineered and manufactured by the company. “It’s really nice to be able to tell people we took this project from start to finish. The engine is a Kioti engine. So it’s in-house designed from tip to tail. This is Kioti DNA,” he says.

Boerger notes that Kioti plans to offer open and enclosed cab versions of the machine. The enclosed-cab machines include several standard items including front and rear LED lights, two speeds, self-leveling, a hydraulic pilot joystick, an in-cab display, a suspension seat and a slide-up style door.

“The cab is actually very wide, very comfortable, a lot of headroom as well,” says Boerger. “The slide up style door has become a big talking point for customers…. It’s really great for farmers, too, when you’re trying to get out of the machine with an attachment on or a bale of hay, or even cutting bale wire or shrink wrap, things like that.” (Story continues after the video.)

Another feature that will appeal to farmers is the lift height. “I think that’s where you’re going to see this shine,” says Boerger. “Lifting into the middle of high side hoppers and dumpers, and things like that — you’re not having to go around and load on each side to try to balance the load.” Lift height to hinge pin measures 126.6 inches.

Boerger says farmers will begin to see the SL750 on Kioti dealer lots this summer.
