DC5 disc mower conditioners offer big productivity in small package

Case IH is now offering new size options for its centre-pivot DC5 series of disc mower conditioners.

The configurations give growers greater performance in a smaller package. In this interview from the recent Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, Case IH hay and forage equipment marketing manager Brian Spencer breaks down the new models. These include the DC105 disc mower conditioner, a new configuration that offers a modular cutterbar with no-tool adjustments.

Spencer notes that the DC105’s smaller centre pivot creates greater efficiency and productivity in a smaller package size, with easier road, bridge and field navigation. It includes a 10 feet 1 inch cut width and a rubber or flail conditioning system. New styling and decals create a sleek, modern look.

The DC125 disc mower conditioner features a longer swath gate with adjustments to fins and wedges and offers cutting and windrow enhancements over previous designs. Here again, a smaller centre pivot creates simple navigation and higher productivity in tight spaces. It includes a 11 feet 7 inch cut width and offers rubber, steel rolls or flail conditioning. Similar to the DC105, new styling and decals offer an updated look.

Replacing the DC133 disc mower conditioner, the DC135 provides superior hay quality and optimal windrow formation. A centre pivot configuration offers simple navigation, while a 13-feet-1 inch cutterbar width and eight discs make for enhanced productivity.  The DC165 replaces the DC163 disc mower conditioner. It offers an even larger cutterbar at 16 feet-5 inches and ten discs for heavy-duty performance.
