Fendt 700 Vario Gen 7 offers five models to suit many farm applications

Versatility, capability, and comfort is the name of the game with Fendt’s line up off the 700 Vario Series.

The tractors, which were on display at the Farm Progress Show at Boone, Iowa, range in horsepower from 203 to 283 and can be a great fit for farmers of different operations including row crops, hobby farms and also for loader work, among other applications.

With five models in the line-up, David Soliday, AGCO senior marketing manager, talks about the features of the newest addition, the Fendt 700 Vario Gen 7.

“This is a much larger tractor, a lot larger engine as well. In this tractor, we have the AGCO power, a 7.5 litre engine, it is specifically designed for Fendt. And this tractor comes with the Vario drive CVT transmission, which is, 65 feet an hour up to 33 mile an hour transport speed. Vario drive is kind of the next level where it’s smart four wheel drive and smart all wheel drive,” shares Soliday.

The FendtOne, which was introduced in the Gen 6, was carried through into the Gen 7 and comes with a whole host of options designed to make the drivers experience not only efficient, but comfortable as well.

Drivers can set profiles which also allows them to program implements and set up how they would like to run the tractor. Additionally, the Gen 7 also comes with a top-of-the-line seat which includes options such as leather, heating, cooling and also lumbar support with active massage, which will be a welcome option to those growers spending long days in the tractor.

Another option that Fendt has brought down from their larger tractors to the Gen 7 is VarioGrip.

“VarioGrip gives you the opportunity to adjust your tire pressures as you are either running in the field or driving down the road. So adjusting your air pressure and the contact area and kind of expanding that area for the contact area to help maximize your yields,” says Soliday.

Orders for the Gen 7 will open up in the latter part of 2022 with the machines set to show up on dealer lots in 2023.
