Saskatchewan S3 Group buys Ontario airbar company AWS

Saskatchewan-based S3 Group has acquired TEMP Farm Equipment Ltd., of Mitchell, Ont.

TEMP Farm Equipment is best known for its AWS airbars that introduce airflow into the header of a combine, in an effort to reduce shatter loss, even at higher ground speeds.

AWS airbars are sold worldwide with a dealer network throughout North America, Europe, South Africa, Australia, and Japan.

Under the new ownership structure, AWS operations manager Mark MacDonald will take on the role of general manager, responsible for day-to-day operations, product development, and distribution, based at Mitchell.

S3 Group, based at Swift Current, Sask., designs, develops, and manufactures several OEM components across multiple divisions, including grain fans and the rotors used in AWS’ airbar.
