Agritechnica postponed to March 2022

The biennial farm equipment and ag technology showcase Agritechnica has been moved from its usual time of November to late winter, 2022.

Organizers say the show will run from February 27 to March 5, 2022 at Hanover, Germany.

The DLG (German Agricultural Society) hopes the four-month postponement will allow companies the “necessary certainty required for planning,” as well as allow COVID-19 vaccination strategies and testing protocols to progress.

An earlier announcement had committed to running the show in 2021, however, some big names — including John Deere — had said they wouldn’t be participating if the show went ahead in November.

“We are convinced that by late summer, which is the deadline for exhibitors to register for Agritechnica 2022, we will be able to give our exhibitors and visitors the clarity necessary for certainty in their planning,” says Dr. Reinhard Grandke, CEO of DLG, in a press release.

In November 2021, DLG will launch a digital platform with technical information, networking opportunities, and programming leading up to the show in late February.
