McDonald’s has added the Quarter Pounder burger to the list of offerings sourced from sustainable sources, as certified by the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef standards.
In order to use the CRSB logo, a minimum of 30 per cent of the beef used in McDonald’s Quarter Pounder burgers will be sourced from certified sustainable sources, the company says.
Previously, the company had announced the Might Angus burger as the first product to bear the CRSB certified logo.
The company has also returned to using 100 per cent Canadian beef sources for all its burgers after a brief interruption during the spring COVID-19 supply chain issues.
