New Holland Construction introduces 300-series skid steers

Skid steers aren’t anything new to New Holland Construction, but things have certainly changed since they were first launched in the ’70s.

The 300 series is the next step of the evolution, with a focus on the operator interface inside the cab.

Ryan Anderson, product marketing specialist with New Holland Construction, was on hand at the National Farm Machinery Show at Louisville, Kentucky, to talk about the L-328 model that is beginning to hit the ground in the United States and Canada. Anderson says the cab and boom design is different than what you’d typically see, with two main things making it unique.

“Outstanding lifting force is what we are really known for, but also for in-cab visibility all the way around,” he explains. “Now one of the new features for the 300 series is going to be the new 8-inch LCD multi-function display. So that’s not only going to give you some user input options in there, but also it’s going to help give a good readout to our new factory fit camera, and you’re going to get half of that display dedicated to that camera as well. So you won’t have an additional display needed for the camera as well.”

Although there are different models in the series, the L328 — which was represented at the show, and shown in the video below — retails for around $69,300.
