GSI increases unloading capacity with new under-bin conveyor

Grain farmers looking to quickly move grain from bins can unload 3,000 to 10,000 bushels per hour with the new Under-Bin Chain Conveyor from Grain Systems Inc. (GSI).

The company rolled out the new conveyor, which also boasts improved durability as a feature, at the Farm Progress Show earlier this week at Decatur, Illinois. In this video interview, senior product manager Mathew Tallman discusses what distinguishes the conveyor from similar products.

He says other conveyors require field modifications during installation, but the new GSI Under-Bin Chain Conveyor comes with centre wells fully installed from the factory for faster and more accurate assembly. He also adds that the conveyor is gentler on grain than auger uploads.

The new line of conveyors is compatible with GSI bins from 15 to 72 feet in diameter and fits under any standard 17-inch plenum-height aeration floor. Other features include: heavy duty galvanized construction; fully guarded shafts, bearings, and drive for safe operation; compatibility with GSI bin sweeps including a power sweep option; and the ability to “daisy chain” multiple bins on a single unload conveyor.
