Launched at Canada’s Farm Progress Show, Meridian’s 13-inch swing-away auger has a few changes besides its diameter.
According to Rob Reimer, director of sales for the company, the auger sees an extended hopper size, increased capacity (nearing 13,000 bushels), and a change to its base.
“We’ve added a 4-foot flighting piece at the bottom, so if there’s any problems or wear-out of the bottom flighting, it’s not a matter of taking the whole flighting out the top or out the bottom. You just need to replace the bottom piece,” says Reimer in the interview below.
The 13-inch auger will see a limited number for 2019, with full production beginning for next year.
