CIGI’s CEO announces retirement

After spending just over four years as CEO of the Canadian International Grains Institute (CIGI), JoAnne Buth is retiring.

Prior to CIGI, Buth served as a senator for more than two years, representing Manitoba. Before becoming a senator, she spent roughly 13 years with the Canola Council of Canada first as vice-president of crop production and biotechnology and then as president of the organization.

According to Twitter, Buth will end her position with CIGI sometime in May.
