Kubota Corporation has announced a partnership with Winnipeg-based Buhler Industries Inc to bring a new, high-horsepower series of tractors to the Canadian and American markets.

“Our in-depth understanding of the realities of Canadian agriculture and the needs of our customers has always been at the core of what we do,” says Bob Hickey, president of Kubota Canada in a news release. “Today’s announcement will allow us to broaden our horizons as our engineers will work with Buhler’s employees, in order to develop and produce tractors specific to our local market’s needs and tailored for their applications.”

The agreement between the two companies will enable the addition of tractors in a horsepower range greater than the currently largest M7 170-horsepower line. This will position Kubota as a key player in the North American market, the company says.
