GSI expands Flexwave and Quiet Dryer offering

GSI has expanded its lineup of  Z-Series Bins with Flexwave technology and Quiet Dryer models for 2019.

The grain bin manufacturer has launched the new technologies in the last 24 months and is now offering both innovations across its full product line. Last week at the National Farm Machinery Show, GSI conditioning applications manager Gary Woodruff noted that three Z-Series Bin sizes are debuting for the 2019 harvest season – a 24-foot diameter bin announced at last year’s Farm Progress Show, plus two new, larger sizes – a 30- and 36-foot model.

In this video interview, Woodruff explains how the  Z-Series bin cleanout system uses large liners that alternately inflate and deflate to gently remove residual grain after a bin is emptied. It eliminates the labour intensive and potentially dangerous practice of farmers entering a bin to sweep or shovel out remaining grain. (Story continues after the video.)

Woodruff also notes that GSI is expanding its Quiet Dryer lineup. These dryers cut the noise level of conventional portable dryers by 50 per cent and produce a more comfortable, less harsh tone without sacrificing drying capacity or efficiency. New for 2019 are portable Quiet Dryers in stacked configurations. The technology is also available in 12- to 26-foot all heat and dry/cool models, plus the Quiet TopDry, he says.
