Know a great beef producer in Manitoba? Nominate them for MBP lifetime achievement award

With the New Year just around the corner, nominations for various awards will start to roll out. If you know someone who strives for the best in beef and is an advocate for the industry, nominations are now open for the Manitoba Beef Producers (MBP) lifetime achievement award.

“(The lifetime achievement award) is awarded every five years to a deserving recipient. We are excited to be presenting this award during our President’s Banquet at our 40th Annual General Meeting in Brandon on February 7, 2019,” says Brian Lemon, MBP general manager.

Both families and individuals are eligible for the award. The person/family nominated must be a current of past member of MBP or the Manitoba Cattle Producers Association. The nominee will be judged on the following:

  • Beef advocacy activities with a genuine interest in the beef industry;
  • Achievements and lasting benefit of their contribution to the beef industry;
  • Excellence in being involved in the beef industry as a leader, mentor, volunteer; and,
  • Their use of innovation and strategies for successful business.

The award winner’s name will be added to a MBP Lifetime Achievement Award plaque at MBP’s head office. Nominations close at 4:30 p.m. on January 18, 2019.
