Saskatchewan Forage Council welcomes new executive director

As of this week, the Saskatchewan Forage Council (SFC) welcomed its new executive director.

Having more than 20 years of experience with working in producer-led organizations, Lorraine Beaudette will take on the position. She has worked with the Canadian Wheat Board, Saskatchewan Canola growers, Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, and within the organic sector.

“I am ready to expand my knowledge base and am very excited to support the needs of the livestock and forage producers in Saskatchewan,” she says in a news release.

SFC president, Tamara Carter says she, along with the entire board, looks forward to working with her, adding Beaudette has worked closely with the outgoing executive director, Leanna Rousell.

“She brings a diverse skill set to the table and we welcome her new perspective on projects and direction for the organization,” Carter says.

Beaudette will be home based near Vanscoy, Sask. Her new contact information is available on the SCA website.
