Heritage colours on new 150 series a tribute to first Case Axial-Flow combine

Everything old is new again, and in this Case IH (see what we did there?) you’ll see the heritage styling, colour, and decals of a 1977 Axial-Flow combine on a limited number of 150-series Case IH combines available now.

Following a successful run in Australia, Case IH decided to pay homage to the classic 70’s styling across the current 150 series (including a class 5, 6, and 7 combine models). While the paint scheme is old, the combine specs are definitely new.

Field editor Kelvin Heppner caught up with Kelly Kravig, harvest marketing manager with Case IH, at the Farm Progress Show at Boone, Iowa, for a tour of the retro-looking — but modern-running —combines.

The 150 series includes productivity enhancements of the single rotor technology, Cross-Flow cleaning system and 2-speed electric shift transmission, Kravig says. So while the combine will look familiar to the older generation with its white roof and rims, what’s under the panels is new and improved.
