2016 has not been kind to most hay and pasture fields across Ontario, and while late summer rain made for some decent last cuts, many farmers and ranchers are looking at tight supplies for the winter.

I caught up with Anita Heeg, feed ingredients and byproduct specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs, to talk first steps (surprise!
