Are You Ready For the New Letterkenny Episodes?

Have we lost the ability to laugh at ourselves? I hope not. To keep sane in a very insane world sometimes you need to just laugh.

On February 7, Crave TV will release six full length episodes of Letterkenny, based on the YouTube sensational shorts called Letterkenny Problems, which poke fun at teenage life in rural Ontario. The original YouTube Letterkenny Problems definitely have a cult following for many young rural people and hockey players (the other target of the humor).  (One the stars and writers, Jared Keeso, played Don Cherry in the CBC mini series, Keep your Head Up Kid and The Wrath of Grapes.)

Bonus: Jared Keeso explains why rural Ontario has problems. And its funny

As described on the Crave TV website:

Wayne is a good-ol’ country boy in Letterkenny, Ontario trying to protect his homegrown way of life on the farm, against a world that is constantly evolving around him. The residents of Letterkenny belong to one of three groups: Hicks, Skids, and Hockey Players. The three groups are constantly feuding with each other over seemingly trivial matters; often ending with someone getting their ass kicked.

Saskatchewan has Corner Gas and now rural Ontario can celebrate its finer points with Letterkenny.

Now some people will say “is this how we want to represent rural Ontario?”  I say get over yourself and have a laugh.  Who cannot laugh at:

If you had as many bucks in your wallet as you have bucks mounted on your wall you would have………giver take six bucks.

Check out the Letterkenny shorts on YouTube here.  I warn you if your sense of humor is Disney-oriented, don’t click play as the shorts have a massive amount of obscenity. Funny? Yes. Vulgar?…. well yeah that too.
