From Oh Canada to the Power of Storytelling — Wrapping Up Farmtech ’16

It was another busy (and fun) few days for the RealAgriculture crew covering Farmtech last week. We had our very own studio, set up on the tradeshow floor — right next to the beer and coffee. We spent the week racing from the studio to the hall where keynote speakers made us laugh (and cry), to the concurrent sessions that made us think. We got to meet and speak with keynote speakers Terry O’Reilly, Doug Lipp and Charlie Arnot. We caught up with chairs and directors of crop commissions, Alberta’s Agriculture Minister, and all the concurrent session speakers we could possibly track down.

At  the end of the conference, we invited the Alberta Canola Producers Commission’s Rick Taillieu and the Canola Digest’s Jay Whetter to join us under the studio lights, for our annual recap. With four in the shot, it’s a busy discussion, covering everything from the incredible renditions of the national anthem, to the common themes shared between speakers.
