It seems telehandlers aren’t just for industrial applications. Merlo’s display at Ag in Motion near Saskatoon in July showed numerous agricultural applications for the machines, with the Turbofarmer 42.7 hitched to the front of a baler.

The 42.7 is part of the newest family of Turbofarmers, featuring cab suspension, a 156HP engine, 134HP PTO and 4200kg (9259lbs) of lift capacity. On the road, it can reach speeds of up to 40km/h. In the field, it has 7.1m (23.2?) in reach capabilities.

In this interview, filmed at Ag in Motion, Geoffrey Andrews joins us to talk about some of the key features of the 42.7, covering engine specs, cab comfort, boom maintenance and other on-farm applications.

Watch Merlo for the upcoming (even bigger) 50.8 Turbofarmer.
