RealAg Hockey Podcast — Ep. 4: Late Season Surprises, Streaky Goaltending and First Round Predictions

The playoffs are always a thrilling time of year for hockey fans, but this year there seems to be some extra excitement about post-season hockey, especially for fans of the five Canadian teams that begin their quest for Lord Stanley this week.

Among the many storylines heading into the 2015 playoffs is the return of the Whiteout and post-season hockey to Winnipeg, with Jets fans in their glory. Many were predicting the Calgary Flames had a chance of finishing last and drafting Connor McDavid but instead the Flames and their never-say-die style have a shot at the Stanley Cup. That’s not to mention the amazing run into the postseason by Andrew Hammond and the Ottawa Senators, the MVP-calibre season from Carey Price and the Montreal Canadians, or the turnaround in Vancouver under a new head coach.

After taking a break for a few months, three of RealAg’s hockey “analysts” (Shaun Haney, Rick Taillieu and Kelvin Heppner) are back for another podcast setting up the 2015 post-season, including their predictions on not only who survives the first round, but who will win the Cup in June. Oh, and there’ve also been some things happening in Leaf land.
