But if you’re frustrated that everyone is suddenly an expert on science without actually understanding it, this isn’t a new phenomenon.
Dr. Joe Schwarcz, director of McGill University’s Office for Science and Society, has been hosting a radio show about understanding science and chemistry for 30 years. The mystery surrounding science isn’t s new bump in the road to understanding, says Schwarcz, but the advent of the Internet and social media combined with “seduction” of organic production has left conventional agriculture in the lurch.
