From the Farm Show to Your Farm — Follow the Innovation Trail

Do you ever wonder where equipment manufacturers get their great new ideas? While some will get inspiration from their own on-the-farm experiences, some new innovations are dreamed up on paper long before they ever hit the field. Still other manufacturers use a collaborative approach, seeking out feedback from their customers and problem solving for them.

Shaun Haney, Founder of Real Agriculture, is a bit of an innovation junkie, and took to the many (rainy) booths at Canada’s Farm Progress Show to dig deeper into how new equipment makes its way from concept to prototype to giant roll-out at a tradeshow. Perhaps not surprisingly, the trade show itself is one major driver of change, as it allows direct communication between designer and customer.

Check out this feature  to learn first-hand how major equipment manufacturers use trade shows to their full advantage.
