With three shiny, stainless steel counterparts amidst an array of hoses and nozzles, it’s no surprise that JD Skiles Company’s Pit Stop caught our attention last week at Canada’s Farm Progress Show.

The Pit Stop is a customizable chemical transfer system that enables applicators to hasten the filling process. The assembly is run by a 13HP electric start, 440 gallon per minute pump with Venturi. Chemical is loaded from its respective container into one of a number of stainless steel tanks of 15, 35, 40 or 50 gallons, where it is measured through a site glass. For dry chemical, the Pit Stop is outfitted with a stationary or pull-down Cleanload inductor tank. It is then be pumped into the sprayer, which can also receive water directly from the primary source, or through a nurse tank. The entire process can be as quick as 5-10 minutes, says Frank Miller, sales manager at JD Skiles.
