AAFC Launches Five-Year, $50.3M Renewal of CAAP

Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz announced the renewal of the Canadian Agricultural Adaptation Program (CAAP) today. Over $50 million will be available for agricultural investments from 2014-2019 as a part of the renewal.

“Our Government remains committed to helping Canadian producers adapt to emerging challenges and market realities,” said Minister Ritz. “The renewed CAAP program will allow our agriculture sector to proactively manage issues, seize new opportunities and grow the Canadian economy.”

Applicants will be accepted continually until all funds are fully utilized, with projects being either national or sector-wide in scope. The maximum funding for one project will generally not surpass $1 million, though applicants can apply more than once.
