Because it’s Neat — See How the Wind Blows

While we may forever ask who has seen the wind (thanks, W.O. Mitchell!), now you can…sort of. John Gruber, a writer and blogger from Philadelphia, hosts, a science-y website for all things super cool. His latest post caught our attention, as not only is it pretty (see image above), it’s actually rather facsincating.

Monday’s post, entitled Earth Wind Map, is: “A visualization of global weather conditions, forecast by supercomputers, updated every three hours.” Simply click, and drag and move the globe around to see wind direction and intensity. While it’s not a weather forecast, for those in to tracking the weather (hello, farmers and wanna-be farmers like our editor!), this site is seriously neat. Enjoy!
