There comes a point in the horsepower range where, quite frankly, you’re done with messing around. It’s time to bring out the big guns, pull some major implements and Do. It. Up. If you’re in the market for some high horsepower tractors, AGCO would like you to get to know its high horsepower line, the Challenger MT800E series.
In the video below, Connor Bergen, product manager, high horsepower tractors for AGCO, explains how the features of this line help farmers do more work in a day, on less fuel with fewer hours in the seat. What’s more, AGCO has focused on improving reliability, to decrease the overall cost of ownership on these giant workhorses.

Bergen walks us through the MT800E, highlighting the brand new AGCO-powered 16.8 litre engine that delivers not just more horsepower and high peak torque, but sustained torque. These tractors have big hydraulic capacity to pull those giant implements, planters and seeders. To service the hydraulic needs, both the Challenger MT700 and MT800 lines offer 58 gal/min hydraulics, with the option of moving up to 85 gal/min pump, with a dual pump system. To stay efficient, the second pump only kicks on when tractor asks for the extra draw.
Moving on from the firepower, this line also features wider tracks (34″), some style changes, improved cab design, no shortage of creature comforts, good visibility for big tools, intuitive controls and more.
