How To Choose an Ag School, Plus Why you Should

I may be just a tiny bit biased, but as a proud aggie grad, I can’t imagine a better career choice. The number varies depending on who you ask, but it’s safe to say that there are more jobs available than there are those graduating with degrees and diplomas in agriculture- and horticulture- related fields.

If you’re considering an ag education, or if the kids are nearing the end of their (dreaded) teen years, choosing a school or area of study can be tough, if only because there are so many great choices. There are also all kinds of scholarships available, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves.

In this interview with Kory Lippert, Bern Tobin asks what potential students should consider when choosing an ag school, how best to make a decision, when to get applications in and why you should consider studying agriculture at all. Enjoy!
