Blocked Nozzle or Overflow Alerts Via the TeeJet Sentry 6140 Tip Flow Monitor

Perhaps the only thing more irritating than a plugged run at seeding is a blocked nozzle at spraying. While proper sprayer maintenance can help decrease the incidence of plugged or broken nozzles, nozzle monitoring systems are a great way to instantly know whether you’re over or under applying product.

At this year’s Farm Progress Show, RealAgriculture.com’s Debra Murphy caught up with Dave Brackman, of Tee Jet, to talk about the Sentry 6140 Tip Flow Monitor, an in-cab retro fit that alerts farmers to over or under performing nozzles. As Brackman demonstrates in this video, not only does the system alert you to a nozzle problem quickly, the use of LED lights also makes finding the offending nozzle quick and easy. He also describes TeeJet’s latest nozzle offering, with a focus on fungicide applications.
