How Do Canadians Feel About Agriculture?

One of the great things about the information age is that it’s easier than ever to tell your story. The downside of that is that it’s also easier than ever for someone else to tell your story. That’s the uphill battle that agriculture has been facing, and it has taken its toll. Undercover video incidents of animal abuse and misinformation from high profile sources has painted all of agriculture with a broad and negative brush. The urban population responded. Only recently have farmers started to tell their stories.

The non-farming public is more informed than they ever were and the public perception of farming is continuing to change. RealAgriculture talked to Colin Siren of Ipsos Marketing about that change, and their latest study on Canadian opinions toward agriculture.
