Agrisure Viptera 3220 E-Z Refuge Trait Stack Available for 2013

Syngenta recently received Canadian regulatory approval for Agrisure Viptera 3220 E-Z Refuge trait stack in corn. The Agrisure Viptera 3220 trait stack offers dual modes of action for control of multiple lepidopteran pests, such as black cutworm, western bean cutworm and fall armyworm, and corn borer. Each bag contains 95% seed of a corn hybrid containing the trait stack.

The remaining 5% of corn seed is a hybrid without insect control traits. This blend enables growers to meet the refuge requirements specified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for managing insect resistance. Both corn hybrids in the bag are tolerant to glyphosate herbicides.

Corn hybrids containing the trait stack and in-the-bag 5% refuge will be available in limited quantities for the 2013 growing season.
