Move Implements Faster with the Retriever Transport Hitch

Equipment management at planting or harvesting can become a bit of a chess game. You often have to think two or more moves ahead when you’re moving equipment from field to field. Tractors can become a hot commodity and a scarcity when you’re making those moves and that can leave you waiting on one job to finish before you get onto the next. This year at Canada’s Farm Progress Show I got a look at a pretty cool solution to the tractor shortage problem.

Bestway Incorporated’s Retriever Transport Hitch mounts to the back of almost any semi-tractor unit, converting it into a farm implement hauler. The device is adjustable and provides power and hydraulics to the implement to allow for transport on highways and other roadways. Dave Benson of Bestway gave me a demonstration of how the hitch operates.
