RealWeatherWatch: Jetstream Brings Shifting Precipitation Patterns to Ontario

Producers across Ontario are keeping a close eye on their local forecast over the next few weeks. Storm systems seem to be popping up sporadically throughout early spring, keeping farmers on their toes trying to determine a planting date that will be safe. That date is very important considering corn seed shortages and the non option of replanting this year. Farmers are trying hard to get the most days possible without being flooded out or even frozen out. The problem right now is the fact that precipitation patterns keep shifting in the short term because of an active jet-stream over Ontario. That activity makes local precipitation hard to predict long term.
