With the successful return of Sidney Crosby to the NHL after a long hiatus and a great deal of the country having received some pre winter blasts of snow and cold, hockey has pushed its way back into the spotlight. With that in mind, we thought it would be a good time to look into the future at the Stanley Cup race. We talked to farmers about who they think will win the Stanley cup at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock, Ontario and at the AGRI-TRADE show in Red Deer, Alberta.
The Eastern farmers were asked the question as training camps opened in September while the Red Deer show was just last week. The answers were in some cases fiercely regional, cautiously optimistic and in some cases sadly delusional (but we’ll let you decide that one).
