The storage of your crop is one of the most important steps in the cropping cycle but it is one that is quite often mismanaged and not properly executed. Every farmer has a part of a bin before no matter good of a farmer you are.
At the Southwest Agricultural conference Helmut Spieser, OMAFRA talked to me about the storage of crop in the bin. One of the things Helmut discusses with me is how concerned you need to be about fluctuating outside temperatures and the proper management of it. Helmut also talks about whether or not you should shut the fans off when the temperature fluctuates or it snows.
