Expectations of the 2010 Calf Run – Jason Danard, TEAMAuctionSales.com

The rancher has some decision making to do. Should I bring my calves to market, retain ownership feeding them or hold back the heifers for breeding stock? Everyone has an opinion on this topic but getting a definite conclusive opinion is very difficult.  In reality we can only look at the market dynamics and see what is most likely to happen.  I always think its best to gain insight from those that are in the trenches and talking to as many producers as possible.  These people have the best handle on what producers are thinking.

I have discussed this rancher decision topic with Anne Dunford and Herb Lock so far and I thought it would be great to throw another hat in the ring. This week I talked to Jason Danard, TEAM Auction Sales about what he sees some of his ranching clients doing this fall.  Jason talk to ranchers daily in his business and has some real insight into the expectations of the 2010 calf run.
