This is my first trip the NCBA convention and I have been amazed at the scope of the convention. The first person that I had a chance to interview was Sara Brown, Livestock & Production Editor, Beef Today. I asked Sara what a couple of the main issues were in the beef business in the US. As the editor she has a very good handle on what is happening across the United States.
I was not surprised to hear Sara mention the economy and government regulations as issues that the US beef business is challenged with because those same issues are in Canada as well. There has been a lot of discussion about the economy at the NCBA and the hope is that the recovery will happen in 2010.
